Funding Secured For Route To Cobham

As part of the A3/M25 works, we welcome the news that National Highways have just secured additional funding to extend the cycle route from the A3/M25 into Cobham.

G-BUG have worked with National Highways since concept stage, securing an additional new dedicated bridge for non-motorised users.

Unsurprisingly, National Highway’s focus is on highway implementation. G-BUG has had to push for non-motorised user consultation meetings. G-BUG will continue to press for

  • a continuous path from Ripley to Cobham
  • fewer A3 crossings
  • signal controlled crossings at Ockham roundabout and Wisley entrance (current plans only show signal controls for motor vehicles at Ockham roundabout).
