A row of bikes to hire

An exciting town-wide e-bike hire scheme is planned for Guildford (similar to the “Boris” bikes in London). The scheme will have more than 300 e-bikes at 50 hubs located across Guildford, with a possible 90 e-bike expansion to Godalming. Beryl will be operating the Council’s scheme.

To comment on the proposed locations of the docking stations go to the Council map here.

As part of this, a Cycle Network Study was carried out to determine whether there are enough suitable cycling routes in the town to make a bike hire network viable (report here). GBUG is keen to use the outcomes of the study to highlight where cycling routes are good and where they need improving. Join our committee to become involved! (Update Feb 2024: Scheme expected to be implemented May 2024).
