The National Cycle Network has two routes passing through Guildford:
NCN22, which goes from London to Portsmouth, passing through Dorking, Shere, Farley Green, Shalford, Guildford, Puttenham and Farnham:
NCN223 goes from Chertsey through Woking and Guildford to join the Downs Link at Shalford:
Both of these routes use a mix of roads and off-road tracks.
Going east, you can cycle NCN22 to Dorking, then come back along the North Downs trackway from Ranmore Common to Newlands Corner. More details on Nigel B’s blog.
