Weyside Urban Village Development (formerly known as Slyfield Area Regeneration Project, SARP): Representatives of G-BUG met recently with Markides Associates, who are providing advice to GBC on the Masterplan for the development, including sustainable transport. Although house building is some way off (2023-2033), work on infrastructure could start much sooner using funding from the Housing Infrastructure Fund. The proposals for cycling infrastructure within and outside the development look positive at this early stage, with scope to improve the cycling infrastructure in the adjacent area.
