London Road – Ideas for Consultation Questions

Surrey County Council have launched a Miro board exercise. Here you can post questions you would like to have answered as part of the London Road Active Travel project consultation, due in September.

The Miro Board is only open until Tuesday evening, so please make your thoughts known.

Examples of questions you might like to have answered:

Lots of post-it notes
  • Safe routes: Will the scheme encourage you to walk or cycle instead of driving?
  • Will the scheme encourage more cycling and walking from those under the legal driving age and from non-drivers?
  • Will the scheme increase children’s freedom by giving them the ability to travel unaccompanied?
  • Will the scheme give parents confidence to let their children walk or cycle on their own?
  • Will the scheme increase parents’ freedom by not having to be their child’s taxi service?
  • Will the scheme reduce the number of car journeys your household does?
  • Health and fitness: If you walked & cycled more, would you expect to be healthier?

Keep an open mind, ignore the negative contributions and stick to the benefits for all especially the young and those who choose not to drive.
