Following the one-way trial along Walnut Tree Close, G-BUG is delighted that Surrey County Council have decided to make it permanent.
The scheme has many benefits including better air quality, improved safety for all road users. It creates a dedicated, safe cycle route from the university and A25, from Ladymead to Guildford’s town centre and the railway station, and turns a dangerous commuter rat run into a local road for local residents and businesses.
The scheme is stand alone at the moment, but we look forward to it being integrated into the Sustainable Movement Corridors proposed for Guildford.
